The Studio is an exciting media centre for interactive learning. As part of The Movieum, The Studio runs a variety of informative and stimulating workshops, catering for all ages and abilities, encompassing everything film, art, theatre and design related. Particularly, “The Studio” seeks to provide a creative outlet, facilitating filmic ideas developed in “The Movieum” further into the reality of production: directing, performing & filming.

Sophisticated art workshops

However, workshops do not just stop at all things movie related; sophisticated art workshops encompassing techniques such as mural and graphic design or enlightening theatre workshops including the elements of stage acting and dramatic narrative can also be run for student groups. These workshops allow young people to work with top independent professionals, harbouring and aiding their pure creativity, in an eclectic hub of stimulating ideas and interactive free-play.

Artists, filmmakers and aspiring indie professionals

We also open our doors to artists, filmmakers and aspiring indie professionals. "The Studio" is the ideal space to develop your production or project, find consultancy, use our edit suite, or even sub-let a desk or production space. We can handle medium scale productions in the studio for film and theatre, as well as space for painters or photographers.
